Management

• Call All Emergency Interventionalists, Administer Only Big Boluses [CAEIAOBB]
• Core measures

• If patient is UNCONSCIOUS and requiring BVM → AMAX4
• Epinephrine
  1. 0.5mg IM
  2. 50 mcg IV (if IM not sufficiently effective)
• IVF - 2L bolus crystalloid
• Antigen removal
• Obstruction: determine type of airway obstruction
  • Rapidly developing upper airway obstruction
  • Gradually developing angioedema
• Bronchospasm, treat as usual
• Beta blocker reversal?
  • Glucagon
